Misti Volcano It is a volcano that presents fumarolic, ocassionally increases emissions of steam and gases, despite its apparent inactivity, this considered as great a danger in case of explosion experts lava, gases and hot ashes would quickly run towards the city.

It is located within the national reserve of salinas and aguada blanca, the land is volcanic sand. With lava flows.

Travel Program


Itinerary

Day 01: Arequipa 2350 m / 7,709 ft - Base Camp 4500 m / 14,763 ft
Pick up from the Hotel at 8:00 am and then arrival at the end of bus over 3400 m. from there we starting to walk 5 hrs. Arrival at the Base camp "Pyramid" which is the 4600 m.

Day 02: Base Camp - Summit 5825 m / 19,110 ft - Arequipa
This day we will begin our ascent at 2 am, by a Zigzag path, where we will appreciate spectacular views of the Cordillera volcanica and the Misti crater. Then we will return to the base camp. Arrival to Arequipa afternoon.
